Ducati Energia continues to grow in Trentino and looks on to new research sectors.

Today, in the heart of the Polo Meccatronica, the Bologna multinational company has presented its Ducati Research Center spaces, located in Section L of the Industry 4.0 incubator of Trentino Sviluppo. The choice of the Emilian company confirms the favorable environment offered by Trentino, and addresses the buildup needs following the acquisition of the Far System company.

The operational spaces occupied since 2014 by the Ducati Research Center in Rovereto went from 470 square meters to a total of 870 square meters, with the additional 400 square meters committed to administrative offices and test facilities located on the building’s first floor.

Ducati Energia, with its headquarters in Bologna, branches all over the world, more than 1,200 employees and 9 factories, and a consolidated turnover that is poised to reach 250 million Euro this year, has been operational in Trentino since 2006, following the launch of the Ducati Research Center, born of the partnership with the Universities of Bologna and Trento and the Autonomous Province of Trento. Many products are conceived and developed in Rovereto, including the electrically powered quadricycle, the vehicle of choice of Poste Italiane, and the innovative power-assisted bicycle with engine integrated in the wheel rim and the possibility to record environmental data during travel, which will be released in a new version in 2019.
