A new Dana facility in Polo Meccatronica. The American multinational, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of vehicle “powertrain” components, has chosen Trentino Sviluppo's hi-tech incubator to start up a new and independent production unit in Rovereto.

The memorandum of understanding was signed today, Wednesday 1 August, by the Autonomous Province of Trento, Trentino Sviluppo and Dana Italy. The new “business unit” will operate in the field of mechatronic systems, with particular focus on efficiency, control and safety of off-road vehicles. To this end, more than 2,000 square meters of space will be made available in the Polo Meccatronica, in addition to 3,000 square meters where vehicle applications will be tested and validated.

The business plan of this new initiative includes a turnover of over 25 million Euro, and a staff of 45 highly qualified employees. The company will invest 4 million Euro to set up the new production site.
