COMMS4ITALY: a solidarity initiative for Italy by TLC researchers
March 2020

During this time of great trouble in Italy, the Telecommunications scientific community , represented by the Italian section of the IEEE Communications & Vehicular Technology Society, the National University Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) and the National Group of Telecommunications and Information Technology, takes the field by offering a highly qualified free training course.

Coordinated by Fabrizio Granelli, from DISI - Department of Engineering and Information Science at University of Trento, the COMMS4ITALY project is born, allowing everyone to take the chance to meet, although virtually, some of the most representative personalities in the TLC sector, in order to deepen the visions of experts on the future of Telecommunications and discuss the most interesting technologies and challenges for the future.

The initiative involves some of the top experts in the field who will present topics such as quantum communications, sustainability of ICT technologies and much more with webinars lasting 45 minutes. This methodology will allow participants to come into direct contact with the most revolutionary ideas, but also to interact and communicate, helping to make the period of forced isolation that we are being forced to go through "lighter".
