Quality of Life

Efficient comprehensive health care system

Trentino enjoys “good health”, with an average life expectancy which is one of the highest in Italy (the average is 85.7 for women and 79.8 for men), investing in research in the field of health and in continuing training for medical and paramedical staff.

It can boast an efficient health system, with a new provincial hospital currently in the process of being built and with a network of peripheral facilities in the valleys, which are well-integrated with the services offered in the province’s main town (over 50 local first aid centres and 7 hospitals).

The high average quality of health services - accessible to all, free of charge or through specific agreements - is guaranteed by significant investment aimed at actively promoting wellness and every aspect relevant to the quality of life.
